The proposal provides 3No. new self-contained two-bed, 1.5-storey dwellings together with external amenity spaces, landscaping, parking and access arrangements following the demolition of the existing lock-up garages.
The site (approximately 559sqm) is located in Chesterton, north east of Cambridge City Centre. The site currently forms rough ground to the rear of Nos. 179-183 Water Street, outside of its ownership, and serves eleven concrete garages and one open parking space which are accessed via Fallowfield. Water Street, continuing into Fen Road, consists of semi-detached Victorian properties, whereas Fallowfield is more eclectic in character and includes a range of properties from semi-detached two-storey dwellings to more modern two- and three-storey flat developments. There are a number of trees located within the rear of the property which have been considered at the design stage of our proposals.
