Project Information:

Eden Street Backway is an 8-unit 2 bed housing scheme within the Kite Conservation Area. The street frontage has been designed to be subservient to its surrounding context, taking consideration of past uses of the site and acknowledging the existing low scale outbuildings along the previous frontage. The scale and materials proposed are representative of the local vernacular and contribute to the vista along Eden Street Backway. The simple mono-pitch roofs have been designed at the same angle as the rear extensions of No.3-9 Portland Place to continue the repetitive rhythm that characteristics the narrow streets in the Kite Conservation Area. Corner windows have been provided on the front elevations with dual aspect to most rooms.
