Project Information:

Dorset house is a Grade II listed dwelling from the mid 19th Century situated on the High Street in the village of Cottenham. The project consists of two phases. The first, a conversion of the barn and stable block into a guest suite and entertainment space. Secondly, the client wished for a full refurbishment of the existing dwelling, retaining all original features where possible. To optimise the family living space, the addition of a contemporary burnt larch extension is proposed. to provide more light into the living space as well as to open up the space to the patio and newly landscaped surroundings. A generous wall of glazed windows and contemporary French doors open the living area out onto the patio and newly designed landscaping, bringing in more light and offering views to the outside.
