Project Information:
Maids Causeway is characterised by a row of large detached townhouses from the Georgian era. Tall sash windows and dormer windows typical of Georgian character combined with uninterrupted views over Midsummer Common make these houses highly sought after. The site is within the Kite conservation area and forms part of Charles Humphrey’s Dolls Close development which is Grade II listed.
The clients main wish was to refurbish the building to a high standard that justifies its status as a Grade II Listed Building. The interior design reflects the clients personal taste, combining elements of traditional design such as arches, panelling and decorative hardware combined with modern finishes and furnishings.
An extension to the rear which is sensitive in its scale provides an optimised open plan layout which is ideal for a modern way of living.
