The proposal sought to develop a parcel of land located off Gibson Close within the village of Waterbeach to provide a mix of 18No. new homes. The provision included 11No. market homes and 7No. affordable homes of mixed shared-ownership and social-rented accommodation.
Following a contextual analysis of the area it was evident that there is strong underlying vernacular of traditional, rural building styles within the village of Waterbeach. The scheme draws on design cues from well preserved and established buildings within the village and the quality of the detailing and materiality can be witnessed by the completed scheme.
